Remember a few weeks ago when I had that really fun "What Would Whimsy See" contest? Remember? Remember how I was all "oh, I'll post the answer pictures and a winner on Monday?" Remember? Well, its a not Monday, and its a long while after the initial excitement of the contest but here are the answers and if you scroll down to the end, you'll even find out the winner. Procrastination can be fun, too!
Item 1: Perfume Bottle
I think this line of perfume has been discontinued in the US. I bought this bottle at the Duty Free in London last year (you can see how often I wear perfume these days) after a long drawn-out search to find a bottle locally. The scent was originally given to my by my college boyfriend, who despite not being Mr. Right, was able to pick a very good scent for me.
Item 2: The Chile Ristra
The Ristra hangs forlornly in our kitchen. Why is it forlorn, you may ask? Because it hangs on a bare wall by itself, waiting patiently for us to decorate the kitchen. Its been waiting along time. Purchased in Santa Fe this past winter.
Item 3: Dinosaur Handball
Purchased at Walgreens after Fussbot threw a hissyfit at the park when some kid had the crazy idea that he was going to take the ball that he had brought to the park back home with him. Fussbot was not done playing with said ball and lots of tears (and screaming) ensued. I handled the situation by going to the Walgreens across the street and buying this ball so we could still enjoy a day at the park. Parenting at its finest, folks. The ball is stored under the console table pictured behind it because, where else does one store balls?
Item 4: The Fisher Price Corn Popper
How does this toy not get old? Fussbot plays with it every day and LOVES it. Simple yet genius. Only downside: no mute button.
Item 5: The front wheel of my stroller
So yeah, no exciting story. Its a wheel, on my stroller. I happen to really like my stroller, if you're in the market, I would suggest checking it out.
Item 6: The Headboard
DMS got the bedframe/Headboard for $30 while he was in grad school. The guy selling it to him gave him such an amazing deal because he was "doing something good for the world." Its not really my style but its nice enough and the price was right so I'm basically never going to buy a new one.
Item 7: French Press
AKA the first gift DMS ever bought me. I used to drink a cup of coffee every day and DMS got this for me for my birthday a few months before we started dating. I've somewhat given up coffee so its be re-purposed to the cup I use to fill up the iron with water but every now and then I break it out and brew up a tasty cup of Decaf.
Item 8: Spice Holders
I don't have a lot of wall space for a spice rack, and I have a ton of spices so I started using these handy magnetic ones. They have both a wide pour spout and a shaker side plus they seal up nice and tight. They are from BBB and also make a very good baby rattle when filled with rice or beans.
Item 8: Harmonica
Its DMS'. I don't know why he has it. He doesn't play it and now its just a decorative item on our bookshelves in the reading nook in our bedroom. He likes to refer to it as his "mouth organ" as though he's some sort of tough living hobo.
Bonus Item: Sigmund Freud
He was a Chanukah gift from my BIL a few years ago. He lives in the kitchen on the sink and keep me company while I wash dishes. He makes good conversation although he's always talking about his mother.
So! Who's the winner? Would you believe Whimsy?! I totally thought someone else would get it but she pulled ahead with the headboard and french press guesses. I had a lot of fun with this contest and I think I'll do one again next month but in the meantime, Congratulations to Whimsy and I'll let y'all know what her bag of loot looks like.

So what you're saying is that we basically through contests for EACH OTHER and then won them. Each. Ha ha!
And I am giving myself SERIOUS points for the Burberry perfume guess because let me tell you, Chip was ADAMANT that I was wrong. He even googled pictures of Burberry perfume and showed me how the bottle was different. But I was **so very sure** about the way the writing looked. Had to be Burberry.
I'm so proud.
And now maybe I'll get busy and SEND your package.
